In its efforts to make the Pegasus Conference accessible to more participants, Pegasus Communications, Inc. offers four ways to minimize your conference registration costs.
We typically open registration for the annual conference almost a full year in advance of our meeting dates. Early registration discounts—which can reduce your final costs by as much as 60%—are offered not just to stimulate revenue for Pegasus, but also to create an affordable entry point for participants who might find the full registration rates prohibitive. We encourage you to visit our website early in the conference year.
Based on financial need and awarded on a first-come first-served basis, a limited number of scholarships will be offered to candidates who are unable to pay the full conference fee or secure support for their attendance from their own organizations or sponsors. The registration amount is determined on a case-by-case basis upon receipt of the scholarship application. No full scholarships are available. The minimum registration fee is $650. Scholarships only apply to the conference registration fee and have no cash value. They are not transferable. Scholarship recipients are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses.
Because our mission is to build a community of people who practice the tools of systems thinking and organizational learning and understand that they are at the core of creating effective, healthy workplaces, we ask that past scholarship recipients, who are applying for a scholarship again, help us to achieve that aim by introducing a colleague to the conference. This first-time attendee may also apply for a scholarship (if needed). You will be asked to provide his or her name when you submit your application. Download scholarship application.
Session assistants are granted free registration for the conference in return for their help and support during the conference. They must also attend a pre-conference training session (held the day before the conference begins) and a post-conference evaluation meeting (held on the final day of the conference.) Session assistants pay their own expenses (travel, hotel). They work to enhance the overall quality of the conference by supporting the creation of a learning environment in which participants and presenters will have rewarding and successful experiences. Session assistants are "on duty" throughout the conference. The application process includes a phone interview and assessment. (Note: only a limited number of session assistant spaces are available.) We are no longer accepting applications for the 2009 conference.
Conference assistants are granted free registration for the conference in return for often physically demanding services before and after the conference. Conference assistants pay their own expenses (travel, hotel). They work for two days prior to the conference unpacking materials, stuffing packets, setting up the bookstore, working at registration, and just about anything else that needs to be done. On the last day of the conference, the conference assistants help pack everything up. The application process includes a phone interview and assessment. (Note: only a limited number of conference assistant spaces are available.) We are no longer accepting applications for the 2009 conference.
