Applying Systems Thinking and
Common Archetypes to Organizational Issues

Module 2: Organizational Learning and Systems Thinking Framework

How to Go Through This Module

You should go through the sections in this module in order.

The remaining modules in this program assume that you understand the relationship between events, patterns, and structure presented in the section "Principles of Systems Thinking." Many previous students have reported that they are able to apply these principles on the job immediately, leading to improved conversations about tough issues.

The material on organizational learning is conceptual. We encourage you to think about how it applies to your organization, unit, or team. One of the authors of this model asks us to consider: "Does your organization have a learning disability?" As you become familiar with this approach to Systems Thinking, we hope you will have more ideas about how to use these tools to catalyze greater collective intelligence.
