Module 2: Organizational Learning and Systems Thinking Framework
About This Module
Welcome to Module 2: Organizational Learning and Systems Thinking Framework. Systems Thinking is one of the disciplines known to enhance organizational learning. In Module 1, you compared a systems view of a specific situation to a more common view as an introduction to Systems Thinking.
In this module, we review conceptual models to explain how Systems Thinking contributes to organizational learning and the basic principles and process for thinking systemically about a situation.
In Module 3, we will explicitly describe the components of the language of Systems Thinking.
In Module 4, we will focus on planning effective interventions to improve systems performance. In Module 5, we will explore ways to identify the deeper structures affecting our behavior. We will look at practical ways to work with these mental models operating in our systems and in our conversations.
Module 6 will introduce templates you may find helpful in identifying more complex structures. Module 7 will pull this learning together in the "Steps in Systems Thinking." Module 8 includes a resource directory and guidelines for using Systems Thinking on the job.
